Dr. Lam D. Nguyen is a dedicated, ingenious, innovative and high-energy international educator who strives to create a positive learning environment and helps students achieve their academic goals to make a difference in their career and life. He is strongly committed to high quality teaching, research, and committee and community services. He possesses a strong academic background with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Dr. Nguyen has high sensitivity to students’ specialized and changing needs, proven ability to develop rapport with students, and high capability to individualize instructions.

A bilingual (English-Vietnamese) with culturally diverse background, Dr. Nguyen is tenured Professor of Management and International Business (IB) and Director of Global Business Institute at the AACSB-accredited Zeigler College of Business at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. He is on the editorial board of several refereed journals such as World Journal of Management and International Journal of Business and Emerging Markets. He is also a Guest Editor for a Special Issue in the International Journal of Business and Globalisation. He has served as Visiting Professor at Webster University Thailand and at the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City. Dr. Nguyen has published more than 60 papers in high quality refereed journals and conference proceedings. He possesses a solid practitioner experience including various managerial and leadership positions he held in Vietnam and in the U.S. His areas of interest are leadership, strategic management, ethics, job satisfaction, entrepreneurship, and cross cultural management.

As the Director of Global Business Institute, Dr. Nguyen is spearheading the IB initiatives including the addition of an IB major and the international cooperation with foreign institutions.
