Good

Professor Ponnamperuma's class is very easy. Attending the class is not mandatory. However, it is a good place to go to check up on the material you learned from A+. As long as you attend his class, an A is very attainable.

Good

This course is honestly difficult no matter who you take. However, Prof. Krishan is very clear on what you need for the exams and he teaches the course thoroughly and concisely. You just really have to study the practice questions and the book.

Awesome

While organic chemistry is very difficult, Dr. Krish tries his best to prepare his students for the exams. I learned a lot learn with him! There are practice exams that are a really good representation of the actual exams. I was really sick during finals, and he was a lot more understanding and accommodating than my other professors.

Awful

Prof. Krishan leaves office hours early. Class exam averages were actually 50% 3/4 tests. He assigns homework before it's even covered in lecture. He also barely curves, that's based on past classes. He isn't responsive to emails as well. He speaks very fast and ends class early most days. AVOID HIM.

Poor

I got an A in both General Chemistry and I had a very hard time in this class. The class of Professor Ponnamperuma was very lecture heavy but was pretty straight forward. However, I gained a lot of information from SI and doing my own learning online. If you're not planning on taking the MCAT, or if you know that you will not need to know much more organic chemistry for you major, then I suggest not to take his class.

Krish was my professor for both ochem 1 and ochem 2, and he is the best I've ever had. He covers everything you need to know for the test, sets reasonable goals, and doesn't waste time. He speaks quickly, but he can keep you interested. His practice exams are very similar to the real ones. You must really read tho. I also attended A Plus.

Professor Ponnamperuma is just fine. Just attend his lecture, do your homework, make sure you understand it, and attend the tutorials for you to do well in this class. I went to A+ tutoring and it was a very good decision. Also, if you think you deserve points back on the exams, just ask him nicely. He's usually willing to give you a few points.

Krish is a godsend!!! I had this professor for CHEM227 and made certain that he was available for CHEM228. You can see he enjoys his work and genuinely cares about his students! When it comes to grading, he is very understanding and fair. Be aware that he teaches swiftly and on the chalkboard, so you must be there to take the notes!

Professor Ponnamperuma is amazing. He teaches pretty fast, but it's pretty simple. He gives practical tests that are exactly the same as his exams. Having an A+ is very helpful in his class. And as long as you understand the practice exams, you'll do well in the exams.

All of Professor Ponnamperuma's negative reviews are completely fake. He's one of the most caring teachers I've ever had. He tells you what you need to know, and the practice exams perfectly reflect the actual exams. OCHEM is a difficult class and the bad reviews are just from people who shouldn't be in this major in the first place.
