  Courses taught:\n\nTHEATRE OF THE BLACK EXPERIENCE (majors/non-majors): This course was designed and offered to survey history and literature and to study dramatic works focused on the black experience through the rehearsal and performance of representative works of black dramatists. Upon studying such work students were given the task to create their own performance pieces taken directly from their own personal stories. The rehearsed and staged stories were then performed for an audience.\n\nINTRO TO ACTING (majors/non-majors): In this course students are introduced to the teachings of various techniques

  namely Stanislavski and Meisner. The fundamentals are explored to help students get to the truth of the moment. Vocal and physical techniques are also explored.
