Biography

Kennesaw State University - Communication

Professor of Communication, Certified Strengths Finder 2.0 Coach
Public Relations
Justin
Pettigrew, Ph.D.
Atlanta, Georgia
I am a strategic, results-focused and innovative communications educator and professional, with extensive practical experience in public relations and a strong teaching track record. In addition to 12+ years in the PR industry, I have taught various mass communication and public relations classes. I have a strong publication track record with several papers in various stages of completion, but my true love is the classroom.

Teaching gives me the opportunity to share some of my experience working in public relations, combined with the theoretical underpinnings on which good practices are based. My student evaluations and comments reflect that I am effectively doing what I set out to do in my classes. I also have a desire to remain connected to the professional community and to contribute to the current practice of PR. It is my hope that we can continue to bridge academics and practice.

I have a strong desire to continue learning, to build on my current research, and to become even more effective as a professional and as an educator.
