  Alverno College was my entrance into academia. Courses that I have facilitated in nursing include nursing research

  NCLEX-RN preparation (which has included instituting significant test-taking strategy components)

  and a senior internship seminar course (which exposes students to professional networking opportunities). As part of the clinical internship placement team

  I work with area healthcare agencies to appropriately place students in their final semester intership. I also teach non-nursing courses such as a Freshman integration course that improves retention and assists traditional college students to become involved and excited about their education. I am the Chair of the Effective Citizenship Ability Department and assisted in the development and continued efforts of the Civility Project on campus. As part of the Council for Student Assessment on campus

  I am the chair of the Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) subgroup that is adopting protocols to evaluate potential admits for CPL opportunities.

  maintained staff competency in emergency department skills

  and was integral to their quality improvement within that department.
