After working for two years as a litigation associate at Sullivan & Worcester

where I worked on various commercial litigation projects including intellectual property litigation and securities fraud

I was offered an opportunity I could not pass up

to work as Legal Counsel to State Senator Andrea F. Nuciforo

Jr. of the Berkshires. Having worked in politics before law school (working for a political consultant

    Peter Bynum

    in New York City)

I was eager to utilize my legal skills in politics as well. It was an incredible opportunity to work in the heart of Massachusetts politics

at a level where I could really impact legislation.\n\nAfter 1 1/2 years working at the Senate

I was offered a legal fellowship at Partners HealthCare

representing some of the greatest health care institutions in Massachusetts

    if not the country

including Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women's Hospital. The fellowship would allow me to practice mostly employment law but also have the opportunity to work in other areas of the office's practice. At the end of my Fellowship I was offered a permanent position

which I enthusiastically accepted. \n\nA few years into this position

I was offered a unique opportunity within the office

which was to split my practice between employment and labor law on one side

and to lead a group of attorneys in the Patient Care area on the other. The team with whom I work (Naomi Bass

Melissa Brennan and Julie Chattopattday) are phenomenal colleagues. We provide assistance to the hospitals on issues such as HIPAA privacy

    consent to treat

    guardianships

    ethics

and any other areas where the law and patient care meet.\n\nI now also teach Health Law

    Employment Law

    Disability Law

and Public Health Law at Northeastern University School of Law

and have written for and presented at MCLEs on both Health Law and Employment law matters.\n\nSpecialties: Health Law

    Employment Law

    Labor Law

    Ethics.
