I am currently employed as a Middle and Upper School Mathematics Teacher at The Park School of Buffalo. I teach courses ranging from Algebra and Functions through AP Calculus. In my Statistics class, I have begun using R as a tool for statistical analysis. I have worked as the Computing and Information Studies Coordinator, in charge of designing a K- 4 curriculum of Statistics and Computer Science for our Lower School students. Our curriculum incorporates Code.org resources as well as an introduction to robotics using Dash and Dot. I find my work in the independent school setting to be challenging, extremely engaging, and above all very rewarding.

I also have previous experience working at local colleges (Buffalo State and Niagara County Community) and fourteen years of public high school teaching expertise in the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District. Over the course of my career, I have taught all math courses from introductory algebra at the middle school level to AP Calculus and worked with students of all ability levels. I have many years of experience in helping struggling students succeed and in challenging exceptional students to strive for excellence. I also have a personal interest in designing and implementing new curricula to incorporate new technology, such as the graphing calculator website, Desmos.com.
