    Through my APA-accredited predoctoral internship

    I completed a year-long Severe Mental Illness rotation. I managed a caseload of 25 male federal inmates identified as having serious mental illnesses and requiring regular clinical contact. I completed diagnostic and care level formulations to determine treatment needs

    and I conducted individual and group therapy utilizing evidence-based treatments (i.e.

    Dialectical Behavior Therapy

    Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy

    Anger Management). I also served as liaison between Psychology Services and various other prison departments

    consulting across disciplines to facilitate comprehensive care. I completed intake assessments of new and transfer inmates and assigned appropriate care levels. I intervened in crisis situations (e.g.

    risk of harm to self or others) and performed correctional duties as needed to assist with security of the institution as a whole.
