Awesome

This class is for you if you're looking for an easy elective. I had her for an online class and it was really easy. We had weekly discussions which were pretty easy. Three exams and a simple two page paper at the end of the semester. She's a fair grader as well.

Biography

Youngstown State University - Geography

Adjunct Instructor at Youngstown State University
Higher Education
Jennifer
Burrell
Kent, Ohio
I am currently a Ph.D. student, ABD. My main interests are in the fields of crisis/disaster management and geospatial intelligence. I am most interested in the recovery process from both natural and man-made disasters. I am fascinated how completely different disaster types can yield a similar post-disaster landscape in terms of community strength and rebuilding efforts no matter the spatial or temporal scales. My current research interests stem from a desire to improve disaster response and recovery.

I enjoy exploring new methods and geospatial tools to collect data for crisis mitigation and recovery purposes. These include geospatial video cameras, Lidar, and remote sensing.

I am an instructor at Youngstown State University where I primarily teach the weather labs. I was placed in charge of redesigning the labs as well as moving three sections to entirely online classes. I have also helped to organize the department's Welcome Week event to introduce the department and Geography to incoming students.

I am a facilitator at the University of Phoenix, Cleveland Campus. I teach the SCI/256 People, Science, and the Environment course; and RES/110 Introduction to Research and Information Utilization course.
