    branch management & field operations to oversee safety and risk; as well as quality assurance for the division. The region encompasses some 850 staff members throughout four New England States; Maine; and investigate field incidents and coordinate communications and reporting with the company's legal staff

    interacting with field personnel and union representatives and the various city and town managers for the municipalities serviced by AMR in the Region. As of 2007

    the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) awarded AMR with an exclusive contract to provide ground and air ambulance service along with para-transit service to supplement federal and military responses to disasters

    acts of terrorism and other public health emergencies. This national contract is the first of its kind and as of October 1

    2009 covers the 48 contiguous United States which are divided into 4 FEMA zones.\nAs a member of the AMR Disaster Response Team

    I volunteered for Hurricanes Gustav and Ike (Texas 2008) overseeing some 300 ambulance units and 500 staff personnel in the affected areas of Galveston and Houston as Task Force Leader. I also supported AMR's role under FEMA for the Presidential Inauguration of President Obama; 2009) augmenting District of Columbia EMS providers.
