If you are planning to take a sociology class at Kirkwood, please avoid Jeff Sherman. He is very strict in terms of classroom and homework policies. Aside from that he will give surprises quizzes that requires extensive reading. I thinks his unmotivated to help students due to limited office hours which is 1 hour per day. For me that was the bad experience that I had in sociology.

I'm not sure why Professor Sherman got a rating of 2.9. He's the best professor I've worked with. He gave loads of low grade drops, at least 5. That is to ensure that his students can get great grades in his class. Just do your job as a students and read the texts every week. Quizzes on the assigned chapters were at the beginning of class each week. 103%
