    Responsible for a $14 million catalog/web business including sales, inventory and pretax earnings. Revenues grew $874,000 increasing sales 6.5% above previous year. Pretax earnings also increased $324,000 with a 12.5% growth over last year.

    A successful year was achieved with developing new reporting methods, integrating a merchandising strategy with the retail division, redefining and differentiating appropriate categories of merchandise for our customer base, and strong communication with the customer service representatives, retail division and catalog director.

    Oversee the Fashion Programs where the BFA degree in Fashion Merchandising is recognized as one of the Top 20 programs in the United States among private institutions, and the only Tennessee program nationally ranked. Fashion-Schools.org (2018)

    Responsibilities include curriculum development, advising students, evaluating and hiring faculty, budget planning, managing the internship program and administrative duties. Teach courses in the area of merchandising.

    Serve as the executive producer for the annual O’More School of Design Fashion Show. Work collaboratively with colleagues, staff and administration, and strategically support recruitment, retention, outreach and mission.

    Establish annual collaborative projects with industry leaders that include fortune 500 enterprise Eastman Chemical Company, and Denim Days sponsored by Kingpins Show for the 2018-19 school year. In addition, to partnering with non-profit institutions that focuses on the mission of giving back to others.

In addition, to partnering with non-profit institutions that include GiGi’s Playhouse-a Down Syndrome Achievement Center, New Dialect-Dance Group, and Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

    Served on the faculty in the Fashion Department, and as the producer for the annual O’More Fashion Show. Courses included Buying II and Marketing for Fashion. Instructed and acted as a mentor to students interested in pursuing a career in the fashion industry.

    NASCAR Thunder Apparel and Headwear Buyer

    As a relatively small chain, NASCAR Thunder Stores enabled me to work extensively in a wider range of disciplines than would be possible in the more narrow scope of a large department store.

    I was responsible for 49% of total sales for the 13-store chain of NASCAR Thunder Stores. Duties included merchandise assortment, visual direction, bottom line planning and interfacing with stores managers in all 13 stores.
