Awesome

I loved this class despite not having taken a math course in almost 10 years. I do not need to take another math class but I want to have another class with Wolfle. Wolfe is an exceptional teacher. He is always happy to answer questions and will does so with complete clarity. Moreover, the homework is so helpful and if you do it you will pass.

Experience

  • J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College

    Professor of Mathematics

I teach four to five classes with 15-35 students a semester. Typically these courses include developmental Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Calculus and Statistics. I teach online, and serve on multiple committees including hiring committees, and college-wide evaluation and general education committees. I've been the college's liason with the Virginia Community College System as they have completely renovated the state-wide mathematics courses. My research interests mainly fall into developmental education and student support.

  • TIDE Swim Team

    Head Age Group Coach

Managed all aspects of a year-round swimming program to approximately 75 middle-school age swimmers. This included yearly, seasonal and daily training plans, meet entries, communication with swimmers and their parents, recruiting, and support for other age groups on the team.

During this time I also served as an elected board member for Virginia Swimming Inc., the governing body of swimming in the state of Virginia. I was elected Age Group Vice-Chairman of the board, responsible for the oversight and direction of the LSC's Age Group swimming program, and also the planning and coordination of regular season age group meets and the series of age group championship meets

  • Tidewater Community College
