  I teach PLC programming, Power fluid systems, Power transmission systems, and varies Industrial Trades. As an Instructor my responsibilities included training students in maintenance and repair techniques in preparation for Technician Certifications and a Associate of Applied Science. Topics included but were not limited to Hydraulic, pump and valve repair/installation, system setup and integration and troubleshooting. Basic tooling, bearing analysis, motor controllers and variable frequency drive basics were also included

  Outside Plant Engineer

  Outside Plant Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing Verizon’s network infrastructure in specific geographic location. This work included designing upgrades, repairs, and enhancements to the Outside Plant telephony network which includes all structures (such as poles and conduit systems), cable (copper & fiber) and associated equipment for aerial, underground, buried, and customer premise equipment for multi-tenant buildings. The engineer will monitor and analyze residential requirements for multi-tenant building locations within a geographical turf and design solutions to extend FiOS or copper services into residential locations. I also coordinated with a variety of Verizon departments and also have direct customer contact with building management, property owners, and/or residential tenants. The engineer needs the ability to work in a diverse environment, indoors and outdoors, business and residential, and must be able to solve complex problems with innovative solutions. The engineer must be able to price out solutions and select the most effective design. The engineer has the authority, up to a set dollar limit, to choose and implement solutions independently.
