Take this class with a different professor. The other POLS classes were much easier and you will get better grades than I class did. The work is not difficult but the tests are pretty hard. Monogan acknowledged that the other POLS 1101 classes were easier.

Do not skip classes! You will not pass the course. Monogan is a good lecturer. The lectures are not mandatory, but you should go to all the class discussions. Read the book and make sure you do all the critical thinking exercises. If you have to take this class, I would take it with classes that are not reading heavy.

Good

Professor Monogan holds very clear lectures. The textbook should be read, and he'll tell you what sections to look at. Humorous and genuine guy!

Good

Professor Monogan definitely knows what he's teaching and did a good job of explaining concepts in lecture. However, his class is only composed of two tests and a finla exam. I suggest, try to get another professor for Political Science 101 if possible. Reason is that, if you mess up on one test the, it's really hard for your grades to recover.
