A straight d. Sign up for biochem only wants to share irrelevant stories that have nothing to do with Chemistry. Only reads slides and expects students to know what is happening. Don't ask him a question. he only stares at you and makes you feel dumb af.

Do you have any idea how I feel about this "introductory" chemistry class? Just read below. Unbelievable. Van Horn made us memorize the entire table of elements for our first exam. I thought that he was joking but then I found out.

If you're interested in a stressful and confusing experience then this is the class for you. It's supposed to be an intro course, he's teaching us 300 level chemistry in a 100 level class.

I dropped this class because I was afraid I would not meet the Master's grade requirements that I needed. I got through the class but basically I had to teach myself chemistry and chemical engineering.

Be prepared to read the book, because this professor practically speaks in a foreign language. He doesn't care about the students. If you're studying as a nursing student, I'd recommend that you go elsewhere and just take chemistry at community college (105) or take chemistry 211.

What an awful professor, don't ever take this class. He never explains anything in his lectures, and students walk away unprepared and confused. He often puts topics on exams that he hasn't even mentioned. An irrational person who prevents people from going to nursing school because they can't get an 80% in his class.

Stay away from this class. Take the class at a Community college instead (or take Chem 212). You have to be a self-learner. Most students had to drop the class because it was useless for nursing students. They had to either extend to a 5-year nursing student or pay $800.
