Dr. Birkenmeier is one of the best profs I've had at UMBC. His knowledge is unquestionable so it's acceptable that his lectures can be a little long-winded. His exams are mostly multiple choice type. He isn't a tough grader when it comes to the term paper and he is very accommodating. He goes out of his way to make sure you pass his class. He's very caring and polite.

Prof. Birkenmeier is very interesting and he's really understanding. His exams are tough esp if you're not good at writing essays and remembering material.
