  I basically work with students to prepare and encourage them for their careers in engineering.\n\nIn our appointments with students

  we work on finding the right career using their interests and skills in order to make sure the student is gainfully employed upon graduation. \n\nThis involves interviewing skills

  assisting the student in tailoring a perfect resume and a basic cover letter

  promoting and explaining Cleveland State University’s co-op and internship programs and how to look for and find an internship or entry level position that is a perfect fit. Each student is important to me.\n\nI also conduct workshops

  bring the students in contact with actual local employers

  assist with the fall and spring Career Fairs our department sponsors and work collaborating with the faculty and Engineering Department for the benefit of the student.\n\nI also teach CSC 121

  Career Coordination

  a course which is a comprehensive overview class covering all facets of career education

  business etiquette with the aim of developing the student into a well-rounded candidate for any profession.
