  \"Resource distribution

  accessibility and health equity: from global analyses to the Cuban case\" is divided into three papers. The first paper examines the relationship between governmental expenditure on health as a percentage of total expenditure on health (GEHPTEH) and the infant mortality rate in a multivariate regression analysis using cross-sectional secondary data for 186 countries. The second paper decreases the number of cases to 123

  focusing in on the so-called developing world

  and uses cluster analysis to develop a nested typology of health and development. The last of the three papers examines the changes in the distribution in human resources for health and health outcomes in Cuba over time using GINI and Theil coefficients to measure the degree of inequality in the distributions.
