Awesome

Prof. DeSheilds is awesome!!! I honestly had fun in class because she was really engaging!!! You can see that she knows how to connect with her students! However, she's a bit of a tough grader, but you'll be fine as long as you follow her rubrics. It was a pretty amazing class! Honestly the most enjoyable class I've ever taken.

The word– spoken word, written word, language, and visual rhetoric; are not empty in my eyes. Trained in speech, intercultural communication and rhetoric, and sociolinguistics, my philosophy is guided by the idea that there is power in the word. Currently, my research examines micro aggressions and rhetorical violence in media.

I am also owner of Charm City Noir, communications professional with over 10 years experience in media and entertainment, and tea lover.
