My current and future research projects, and teaching interests lie in the following areas:
1. Ecocriticism: environmental justice, communication and education, climate change and other ecological and technological disasters.
2.Technology and Literature: technocracies, ‘corporatocracies’ and consumption in contemporary American and African novels.
3. Cosmopolitan and geopolitical Novels: cosmopolitan education and communities, hospitality, international travels and immigration, and human rights.
4. African Literature: postcolonial history, trauma and healing, role of orature and intextextuality, tyranny and violence, and immigration.
5.Postmodern and Experimental Literature.
6. Education and Literature: the university novel and film
7. Law and Literature: human rights, social justice,
8. Science, medicine and literature: role of plagues, biotechnologies, paranoia, medicine and public education
9.Disaster capitalism in American drama, novel and film.
