My attention is currently focused on cultural creative manifestations of thought, visual and performance art engagement, lead program management in the arts, education and public art resources, occupying lead management and team member roles to assist in the facilitation of diverse civic creative cultural experiences.

Recently, I was the Curator, Collections manager, Graphic Designer and Gallery Designer at the Northwest African American Museum (I recently curated Delta Sigma Theta: Legacies of Love in Leadership Community Educators and Activists; Jeremy Bell: Utopian Blackness; Warren Pope: Red Lines Time Lines Blood Lines; Edwin T. Pratt: A Living Legacy: S'cuse me Do you know Jimi?; Christopher Shaw, Algorithm:Archetype; Hiawatha D. Iconic Black Woman: Ain't I a Woman.

I am a former tenured O’Herron Distinguished Full Professor of Fine Art at Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) in which I am the co-founding and program developer for their interdisciplinary visual and performing arts program where I was the lead faculty to develop the Studio Arts component of its accredited academic resource. While at the university I also managed various roles that ranged from leading its student cultural engagement and learning, the chair position over the Judiciary board a regulation office to manage student misconduct as well as the development of visual and performing art(vpa) policies for the recruitment of new art students, the freshmen orientation and vpa graduation requirements. Tandem to my role as a Professor, I was the university’s art consultant, curator and preparator of the university’s art collection and the University President’s private art collection.

In my experience as an educator and program developer, I have been successful as a juried professional artist, art consultant for civic organizations (Arts and Science Council & Charlotte's Area Transit System) regarding the installation and commission of public art and Cultural Community engagement, as well, I have been instrumental in content development, curating, research and installation assistance with artists ranging from Richard Hunt, Alexander Calder, Nellie Ashford, Sheila Hicks and the Allan Chasonoff Ceramic collection at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC.

I have been a keynote speaker of Creative Mornings Charlotte, founding charter member of the National Alliance of Artist of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (NAAHBCU), Founder and Executive Director of Psi Rho Alpha Visual and Performing Arts Honor Society, Inc., owner of Kairos Industry LLC.
