Professor Lapointe doesn't actually teach you. He doesn't verify that every one is on board with his lesson.

Growing up in Wawa Ontario, Francis Lapointe's passion for utilitarian and green building design was shaped by Northern Ontario's spectacular wilderness, challenged by the forestry and mining industries. This life-long affinity for sustainable design, combined with 20 years of practical experience has led to a broad range of building projects that demonstrate thoughtful transformation of space while being responsive to the environment and providing enduring value.

Francis Lapointe has a diploma in architectural technology from Centennial College, a bachelor of architecture degree from Laval University and a post-professional masters of architecture degree from the TUNS, (now Dalhousie University). Francis is a recipient of the Ontario Premier's Award and is a member of the Program Advisory Committee for Centennial College's Sustainable Architecture Program. He has been a LEED Accredited Professional since 2005 and is an active member of the Canada Green Building Council. Since 2007, Francis has been teaching in the Sustainable Architecture Program at Centennial College.

Francis is teaching the Environment 3 Class for the College's Architecture program, located at the new HP Science and Technology Centre in Toronto, ON. Centennial brought back the well known architectural program to the College in the Fall of 2007, but this time focusing on Sustainable Architecture, Lapointe Architect's specialty.
