Texas A&M University College Station - Education

Program Manager, School of Innovation at Texas A&M University
Elizabeth
Deuermeyer, Ph.D
College Station, Texas
Educator with a commitment to teaching and creating education that allows all students to be successful. I have a passion for working with students who come from diverse racial, ethnic, economic, religious, and LGBTQ backgrounds, and I strive to create a classroom environment that is a safe place for all students. Currently, my research focuses on fostering self efficacy in STEM Careers through 'making' and the Maker Movement inside the school classroom. I lead professional development workshops and sessions for both pre-service and in-service teachers on topics centered around technology education and STEM. I have seven years working in K-5 elementary schools, both as a teacher and as a guidance counselor.
