    OC Politics Blog

Today I'm announcing my candidacy for the Mission Viejo City Council in 2014. As a resident since 1989, I understand Mission Viejo’s history, heritage, traditions, family friendly community, quality of life and the need for growth, transparency and leadership. I'm a professional engineer, small business owner, author and educator. I received my Masters Degree from CSU Fullerton and served for over 10 years as PT Faculty at Saddleback College, OCC and CSUF. Prior to forming DJK Engineering in 2002, I worked on behalf of large organizations such as: Disneyland, Parsons, The Austin Co. and Washington International. This experience has given me the practical know-how to deal with the City's organization, budgets, problems and solutions. I stand for: investing in education, intellectual capital, public and environmental safety, lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, free markets to function and to bring back growth and prosperity to Mission Viejo. I will commit to residents and forums to provide constituents an arena for their voices to be heard. Public engagement enhances the City Council’s effectiveness and improves the quality of its decisions. You deserve the truth, respect and truthful answers and to be able to hold elected officials accountable. Together we can work toward solutions and make our City a better place to live. I would be honored to serve you and receive your vote on November 4, 2014. May God bless you and our beautiful City!
