Unless you have no other option, do not take her. When you ask her questions, she's very demeaning. She also takes off too many points on tests for minor details. She expects you to solve problems the way she teaches it and not on how you understand it. She will take off points if you didn't follow her steps even if your answer is correct.

She's a ruthless grader. She doesn't provide any extra credit. Quizzes are fine, but they are still difficult. She doesn't do multiple choice questions.

To be honest, this is the hardest class I've ever taken. Professor Newton expects a lot from her students. Her lectures were helpful, but you have to watch them. She was very helpful out of class and will give extra credit opportunities on exams though. Please do remember that exams are a big part of your grade.

I'm not a mathematician, so mathematics doesn't come easy to me. Gladly, Professor Newton is very good at teaching her online classes and guiding you through each step. Every week you're graded on homework and quiz. You also have three exams and a final that make up the majority of your grade. She gives great feedback on questions and is quick to respond to emails too. I suggest you take her class.
