Pendry isn't bad at her job, but she has ridiculous exams. Her tests have about 18 multiple choice and 4 essay questions. There's lots of reading, and reading is necessary for those that want to pass exams. I don't feel lke the TA really helped me.

De Pendry is a nice woman, however she wants every small detail from the films/books memorized for the exams rather than the actual relevant information. Her lectures are pointless, the attendance isn't taken and her class requires an absurd amount of reading and videos. You will be good if you watch all the films, read the books and go to discussion.
