    City Colleges of Chicago

    Adjunct Professor of Mathematics

I taught 1-2 courses each semester

    mostly calculus and differential equations.

    Morton College

    Graduate Assistant

I led discussion sections where undergraduates asked questions and worked collaboratively to learn the material from their Math courses.

    University of Illinois at Chicago

    Professor of Mathematics

    Malcolm X College

    Professor of Mathematics

I earned my tenure privileges in Fall of 2010

having completed the exceptionally rigorous process at CCC. As a faculty member

I served as a leader on the Assessment Committee

playing a key role in planning and implementing projects at various institutional levels. I helped create and build our \"Math On Demand (Plus)\" project

funded by a large national grant

aiming to increase the effective use of both instructional technology and human supports in the classroom.

I did research and project planning in a collaborative environment with some of the top talent at CCC. My team worked on Developmental Ed

and my personal focus was testing

    placement

and technology tools. I had the opportunity to analyze very large data sets using sophisticated modeling techniques. I was able to interpret and present the results in a way that made the data useful in the study of initial placement vs. student success.

    Reinvention Task Force Member

    Chicago

    IL

In this role I have been initiating and managing projects across all areas of the college

integrating student support services with advising

    administration

and instruction to grow and improve our developmental education options for students. I have created crucial opportunities for cross-institutional learning about developmental education through research and data analysis

    professional development opportunities for faculty

increased outreach and collaboration with high schools

and by continuing to cultivate partnerships with Student Services for the purpose of developing inter-departmental models related to testing and course placement. I developed our academic year budget and strategic plan for developmental education

and I observe and evaluate faculty members who teach our developmental courses. I planned and launched a major redesign of our lowest level developmental math curriculum

through which our most in-need students will have access to updated facilities and opportunities for accelerated self-paced learning.
