  At the end of 1999, I took down my freelance Illustrator shingle and replaced it with a Fine Artist shingle.
  
  In 2005 I started a website/blog called www.EverydayPaintings.com where I attempted painting one small oil painting per day -- well, that was the goal... I ended up doing a lot more paintings than I would have, pushing myself like that, but also began to find my voice as a writer, as I wrote and posted stories about each new painting and mailed them to everyone on my still-growing mailing list.
