Wartell is a fantastic teacher. I had the ability to get an A, but I missed a few assignments and slacked a bit. Caring teacher who graded fairly and clearly. He loves to talk about microbiology and he shares that passion with his students. You'll learn tons from the class as I have, take it!

The mixed class was great, as long as you are able to stay on track! The labs seemed to get progressively shorter as the semester progressed, which was good.

Professor Wartell is the best prof I've had in my college years. His exams were based strictly on what he lectures, which includes his PowerPoints and laboratories. Also, he uses a free version of the microbiology textbook.
