Dixon is the best choice for you if you can learn on your own and if you like putting in hours to read chapters and do pointless homework.

I heard Professor Dixon was a great instructor for Finance 300 and 310. Unfortunately, that was not the case for Finance 333. He made us do the most, assuming we have that no other class but only his for the quarter. I did not learn even a single thing and finals is around the corner. We do so much homework before we even do the lecture on the next chapter. Stay away if you don't want to feel miserable.

Average

There is a lot of work for this class but that is probably because financial statement analysis is a very involved subject. The class is okay, but be ready to spend most of your quarter on projects and homework for this class alone.

So far, Prof. Dixon is one of the best profs I've taken! He gives everything out on the first day of class so that you are aware of his expectations. We really had fun in his class and we weren't shy to participate. He expects two problems on the board, but if you do them ahead of time, it will be easy. You'll get an A as long as you do the work and study.

Professor Dixon is great. He is very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions in case you are unsure about the different kinds of careers or finance. He is also reasonable and very fair.
