Prof. Giffen is so approachable and helpful. She is a gifted teacher and she is also passionate about her job. I would really recommend taking bio 171 with her. She's just the best teacher I've ever had. She always meets with me to make sure I understood the concepts.

Professor Giffen is very passionate, extremely down to earth, and really easy to talk to, hands down one of my favorite teachers at University of Michigan. Even though the course was suppose to be held at UMBS, it was switched to online due to COVID, however I still felt it was truly valuable and had very helpful assignments. The directions were available, and the expectations were very direct.
