Awful

Do not take this Professor. In my entire college career, I never have had such a terrible experience with a Professor. She doesn't care about your goals, doesn't communicate and doesn't help you at all. Dr. Hobbs ruined my GPA.

With Prof. Hobbs, the dyslexia and stroke really show. She goes off topic the whole class, which can be okay, but she never focuses on what is supposed to be taught. However, the class is easy. You just have to turn stuff in on time. The questions on things are always worded oddly, probably on account of the dyslexia. Makes sense though for a Poly-Sci major turned CC professor I suppose.

Prof. Cheryl waffles a lot!!! She's very short-tempered as well and an angry gamer!!! It was an easy class, but she's a toxic individual.

She gives clear grading criteria and will allow you to rewrite papers in order to improve your grade. Her lectures are unrelated to any assignments. The only reason I would recommend taking this prof is that the tests are the "American citizenship test," which means that if you get an A on the first exam, you will receive an A on all subsequent exams.

She seemed sweet at first, but she was a low-key bully. We were graded harshly on the paper that we had to write. She'd make us correct things over and over again. After class, I apologized and explained why I had to answer a text to ensure my autistic son arrived home safely after his first day of school, and she looked me in the eyes and said, "Don't let it happen again."

Houston, Texas Area
I am a professor at Blinn Jr. College, Brenham campus and a realtor with Century 21 Hardee-Team in Waller. Having been a stay at home mom it is now time for me to spread my wings. I enjoy teaching at the college as well as now meeting new people through real estate. It is also in both cases me stepping out of my comfort zone and developing new skills.
