This is the second horticulture class that I have had with Hall at Texas A&M. Be sure to keep up with the in-class activities. Hall will give you free plants to work with. If you can "turn them around" your success in this class is guaranteed.

Prof. Hall is definitely a great professor! I highly suggest taking his class! You just really have to show up in class (won't be a problem at all because his lectures are always entertaining) and he also gives free plants! He is very passionate about teaching and is a really funny professor! Take a class with him before leaving TAMU. You barely even have to try to pass this subjects. He's a totally cool dude.

Doctor Hall can literally make anything interesting. Taking sociohorticulture as an ICD credit, it didn't pertain to my major at all, but he made it so entertaining and interesting!

I love Professor Hall. He made the class interesting. He lends help for his students to succeed. There were days that he brought his dog to class. She's the cutest thing and obviously we looked forward to seeing her. Also, he gave out free plants and usually made up extra credit to go with them.

Professor Hall's class consists of two exams that are 50% of your grade. Don't worry since they are the open notes and you can use online resources. You really don't have to show up in class. You just have to complete online module quizzes every week. You'll get free plants too. Overall, it's an easy A.

    Journal of Food Distribution Research

This paper used an electronic survey conducted in Texas to study the main factors affecting the frequency of purchase, measured in transactions per month, for ornamental plants. While we found several differences in demographic characteristics of respondents, the two major factors impacting the frequency of buying for ornamental plants were the purpose of the purchase (self use vs. gifts) and seasonality. Respondents with a college degree in the older age groups, and higher income levels had a lower frequency of buying while individuals with medium income levels increase frequency of buying. Several ornamental plant attributes were also included in the analysis.
