I am an Associate Professor of Digital Media and Director of Visual Arts at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS). I teach Graphic Design courses in introductory technology, print, type, web, animation, advanced studies, and digital and film photography, plus professional skills.

My specific areas of interest in design are publication design, typography, wayfinding, and design methodologies and research in regards to privacy, social and emotional aspects of health care using environmental design. I have worked on several projects regarding the design of educational experiences for children with cognitive developmental disabilities that focus on social inclusion and communication.

I work with a variety of corporate clients, especially non-profits.

I am also an exhibiting artist, interested in the way in which we communicate the self in our modern age.
