Poor

Biochemistry is one of the hardest classes. 411 is even harder than 400. Professor Miles' lectures did not help at all. He did rambles and scribbles all over the slides. His professor notes do a much better job teaching. His exams were also tough with mc from nowhere. If you can, just take a different professor.

Good

Personally, I really liked Dr. Miles. Even though he wasn't the most approachable professor, he makes it clear cut what you need to know for the exam. Biochemistry is going to be a tough course no matter who you take it with. Dr. Miles gives 'professor notes' which is what I memorized to make all A's on the exams. Also, he is very generous with curves and partial credit.

Poor

Personally, I didn't like Dr. Mile's class. I felt he was very hit or miss. You can't read his handwriting and during his lectures he is very scatterbrained. For exams I felt like you had to know every little detail, they are very specific and difficult. Also, he moves faster that the other BioChem professors. One good thing though is that he does curve.

Good

I strongly recommend Professor Miles class, he is a wonderful lecturer. hands down easiest class I have ever taken, anyone who says otherwise isn't applying themselves. I made a 100 on all exams simple by watching the lectures, writing down every word he spoke, comprehending it, and then memorizing it.

Awesome

I took Doctor Myers for BICH 411. He's very straightforward and is the sweetest person ever. He gives you everything you'll need for you to succeed. Just study at least a week in advance, a little bit every day and you'll be perfectly fine. He's available during business hours and is very quick to response. Sometimes, the email will take a while to respond. I loved his class.
