    Completed assessment and data projects aimed at improving functions in the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services (Student Affairs). \n\nAssisted in the development of the Incoming Student Survey for both freshmen and transfer students. \n\nConducted analyses on retention and graduation rates at the University of Central Florida. \n\t\nProvided research support for several university and division grants. \n\nGained experience in strategic planning and assessment in higher education.     Served as the Project Manager for a National Science Foundation Planning Grant to conduct research and write a grant for an AGEP Grant (Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate). The project is an alliance between four institutions

    and aims to broaden the pathway into STEM disciplines by preparing underrepresented minority students from the community college through graduate school. \n\nAssisted in the development

    and analysis of several student and faculty surveys at all four institutions. \n\nCompleted several large research projects to provide justification for the grant and to develop programming. These research projects focused on graduation and retention issues in STEM disciplines.\n\nAssisted in the development of the undergraduate programming for the grant based on survey results and research findings. \n\nPresented findings to the alliance partners and other institutional partners.

    Coordinated college advising efforts for several special and underrepresented populations. These populations include students on academic probation

    sophomore and second year students

    and incoming transfer students. \n\nMaintained and updated degree audits for approximately 4

    500 students in the College of Arts and Humanities. \n\nCoordinated assessment needs for the office. This included completing several large research projects aimed at improving our advising efforts with limited resources. \n\nCoordinated orientation for the College of Arts and Humanities. This included presenting to students

    and other staff members on a daily basis throughout the summer. \n\nDeveloped and implemented a probation advising program that lead to a decrease in the number of students academically dismissed from the university. In a one year period the number of students on academic probation that were disqualified decreased by 8.5%.\n\nAssisted with efforts with university and community college partners to ease the transition from the community college to the university.
