Professor Dibartolo's layout is really confusing and sloppy. It was also difficult to know what assignments were due and when. The professor's live confer zooms were really long, boring, and slow. He doesn't respond to emails too. I waited weeks for an email to be answered. It seems that he doesn't care. He's fine, but I do not recommend taking this class.

Biography

Victor Valley College - Geography

Faculty and Chair - Geography Department at Victor Valley College
Brian
DiBartolo
I love learning and I bring this enthusiasm into my classroom, imparting to my students the tools needed to succeed in and outside of the classroom. I want them to understand that the world is bigger than their hometowns. My goal in teaching geography and geology is to expand the worldview of my students and to show them new ways of appreciating the world and its multifaceted beauty.
I continually find new information to help keep my classes current and relevant to the lives of my students. My objective in teaching a diverse student body, such as that of a community college, is to relate the topics at hand to their collective lives and situations using local examples.
I offer many different avenues for my students to navigate the difficult first two years of college. I care about my students and help them when difficult issues arrive, both academic and personal. I offer support and compassion, as I understand that community college students often have challenging lives and may or may not have support from family and friends.
I want my students to learn how to learn and critically analyze the information that they read. I have high expectations for my students and want them to take responsibility for their lives and their education. I aim to model success in many ways for my students, helping them understand the importance of self-discipline and an education.
