You will have to buy the textbook because you'll need it for assignments and exams. Tests aren't long, they're actually just short answer questions, but answers can be found in the book. He's very responsive and he's a fair grader. He gives good feedback as well.

I had an online course with Prof. Mendias and she really sticks with her syllabus. You'll need your textbook because tests and assignments come from it but they're pretty easy!
