Senior Program Manager

Dr. Bauer has over 34 years of professional work experience, including six years in the United States Marine Corps and 28 years in the Aerospace industry. He has attained progressively increasing levels of responsibility as a leader and a manager and earned a reputation for delivering results. Extensive leadership experience in several domains, including; proposal development, program start-up, execution, and closeout. Areas of focus were: program management, operating excellence, production operations, supply chain management, structural development test, flight test integration, and Information Technology Services.

Dr. Bauer has successfully managed a number of diverse programs during his career with Lockheed Martin, including F-35 Integrated Core Processor Production Operations, United Launch Alliance IT Separation, and Wellness Center for which he earned a Nova Award. He consistently demonstrates a can-do attitude toward meeting or exceeding customer expectations, and has earned a reputation for leading with integrity, meeting schedule commitments on-time or early, and performing within budget (CPI & SPI >/= 1.0). He is a practitioner and advocate for use of proven project management tools and techniques to effectively manage programs with the flexibility and agility to perform in diverse environments. He is a change agent with a bias for action, waste elimination, and continuous process improvement.

Dr. Bauer is professionally recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of program management. He is Lockheed Martin qualified as a Level 3 Program Manager and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He also holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certifications by the Project Management Institute (PMI) .
