Nevada Sentencing Commission
Appointed by Gov. Brian Sandoval. Served as a Commissioner of the Nevada Sentencing Commission in development and proposal of statutory sentencing guidelines. Review sentencing practices of the judiciary in Nevada. Studied and analyzed the impact of pretrial services, sentencing diversion, incarceration, and post-release supervision programs. The Sentencing Commission works to improve fairness in the state’s criminal justice system and reduce sentencing disparity. The Nevada Sentencing Commission was established by legislation in June 2017.
