Acting:

In addition to teaching and writing, I have long been an actor. I have primarily performed on the local stage. I have acted in one micro-budget horror film. Originally titled "Broken Springs: Shine of the Undead Zombie Bastards," this film is now titled "101 Zombies" and available for instant download via Amazon. I am credited as "Party Hand."

I also have extensive experience with makeup and limited experience with special effects makeup, as well as costuming and sewing expertise.

    I currently teach 15 hours a semester, focusing on Composition, Early American Literature, and Horror/Supernatural Literature.

    I am an instructor in the English department; I teach composition, American literature, and developmental/remedial writing. I am currently co-designing the curriculum for the new Learning Support (developmental) writing program.

    I also serve as faculty sponsor for an active student club, and have presented academic work to the student community at large.

    My photographic responsibilities included yearbook-style portraits, senior portraits, dance photography, and journalistic photography. Additional (non-photography) duties included basic office work, photo editing, portfolio design, and basic photographic assisting. I also wrote ad copy for the company's marketing campaign (web and printed brochure).

    Designed a curriculum and taught an introductory writing course, focusing on writing as a process as well as researched essays.
