I am currently an Assistant Professor for the department of Child and Family Science at California State University, Fresno. I am a Certified Family Life Educator. I study human development and family science with an emphasis in domestic violence. My dissertation focused on adult childrens' relationships with their partner abusive parents. I am also interested in family relationships within the context of divorce and remarriage, as well as issues related to gender and sexuality.
As an instructor, I highly value the classroom learning environment and do my utmost to create an engaging and creative space in which my students feel comfortable enough to freely express their opinions and to ask questions. I like to create intellectual and stimulating lessons to expand their knowledge of the material.
