    and artist. With a demonstrated history of working in art education at the post secondary level

    she has collaborated with private donors

    and university partners on strategic projects to build considerable outreach opportunities for OCAD University. Anda currently leads the OCADU Florence Off-Campus Study Program in Italy where she coordinates studio learning opportunities for the students abroad. \n\nAs a recognized Canadian abstract painter

    her research promotes a conscious engagement with aesthetics - most specifically colour - positively impacts human flourishing and quality of life. By making artwork in both digital and traditional painting processes

    Anda aims to create a highly perceptual experience. When visually drawn in to Anda's painting

    the viewer is not always sure what they are looking at. Is it a painting? How is it made? Is the painting depicting something. These questions provoke the imagination and pull a viewer into a creative experience of their own. Anda's process causes one to consider the tools available for creative expression and communication in our contemporary age.

    This complex and dynamic position requires a wide range of skills and a broad base of teaching and practice in order to administer an educational program and related student support delivered to a diverse group of students abroad.\nAs the Florence Program Coordinator:\n- provide primary instruction - studio and contemporary theory\n- provide academic advising and personal guidance\n- maintain communication with academic and administrative staff at OCADU home campus\n- responsible for adapting and configuring the studio to meet student research and practice needs

    Overseeing a program consisting of over 800 students and over 30 faculty members

    in this demanding role I worked with faculty to revise the core curricular structure

    working the the technical staff and liaising with the Development office. \nI continued my membership on Senate and became Interim Chair of Senate for one year. I served on the OCADU Board of Directors for 2 years. Additionally

    I was deeply engaged with Stategic Planning at the upper administrative and faculty level throughout my term as Chair.

    Becoming tenure track

    I carried a full course load and became 4th year Thesis Leader. I was one of three faculty chosen to work on the Provincial review of the Drawing and Painting program. I became a member of the Academic Council (which evolved into the OCADU Senate). I was very active in outreach projects that benefitted the student body and faculty community.
