    I've worked full-time while going to grad school. I was part of a study abroad trip to France and Romania for a comparison of statistical education. I was an officer and then a faculty advisor for the Kennesaw Women in Mathematics student organization group. My poster presentation on Targeting Risky Credit was accepted at SAS' Analytics 2012 conference in Las Vegas.

    The Joseph R. Hooten Award for Excellence in Mathematics Education is given each year to a student teacher demonstrating exceptional promise as a secondary school mathematics teacher. The award was created in honor of the retirement of Professor Joseph R. Hooten

    who was a faculty member at UGA from 1965-1986. Dr. Hooten was first and foremost dedicated to his students.
