Much of the class is reading and understanding the material, but Akram is a great professor who will make sure that you understand things if you come to him. By no means however are the tests easy, but you are informed on what you should expect from them. The reading needs to be done however, as he calls on people every class. He's a bit problematic and quite conservative if you're able to work with that.
